About us
The Chill Sessions is the brainchild of two guys who needed
this stuff! Glenn Heaton and Geoff McGarvey (that's us
below!) have run a very successful production company
(Hullabaloo) in Sydney, Australia since 1990.
We write music for television, radio, theatre, corporate and
live events. We also do audio mixing for various television
shows. Find out more about
hullabaloo.

I've
been into relaxation music for a long time. I used to go to
Ken Davis concerts outside the Sydney Opera House way back
in the mid-eighties. After running a business for years, I
felt it was time to do some myself.
I firmly blame The Beatles for getting me involved in music.
The Fab Four got their hooks into me at an early age and no
other career really stood a chance. I love to compose music
for any purpose. I also love to mix the music myself.
My career started at the Australian Broadcasting Corporation
in 1981. I was there for ten years as a sound engineer.
Through that time I played in bands and started to write
television themes for some of the producers I worked with.
It just grew from there. I left the ABC and started a studio
to concentrate more on music. Twenty five years later,
I'm still involved in music.

I
started my career at the ABC as a cameraman, and did that
for ten years. I left and started Hullabaloo with Glenn. It
was a way to further develop my love of music. Over the
years we ended up writing not only for television, but
theatre, corporate songs and even talking books.
When I'm composing, I don't consider it a job. It's too much
fun. A highlight would be winning the 'best children's
television music' award at the Australian Screen Music
Awards in 2004.
Over the years I've always wanted to record some relaxation
music. It's been really rewarding. I feel there is a need
for it. As I pointed out to someone the other day, even the
sky has adverts a lot of the time (skywriters), so we need
to take measures to drop out of the fast paced world. I
believe music is a great way to do it.
