Getting your head around The Chill Sessions can be hard because
it's such a different idea, so let's break it down...
THE BASIC IDEA
Glenn Heaton and Geoff McGarvey set out two years ago to create
a web site that allows therapists to make their own CD's.
download music, spoken word audio and video, then make their own
products from that content. They can then sell the products,
give them away and/or use them for marketing and promotion.
SO WHAT CAN YOU MAKE?
CD's. Yes, you can make CD's in your office or at home,
using the on-line library of content.
iPod. Yes, you can sell or give your clients and prospects
files that will play on any iPod. Video or audio.
Cell Phones. Yes, your clients can have something from
you playing on their phone.
WHAT IF I WANT MY VOICE ON A CD?
The
Chill Sessions is so much more than a content library, because
we show you how to record your own voice and mix it with any of
our music. Suddenly, a new world is available to you. Imagine
giving someone a CD about 'Stress Relief' with you talking about
it? Your care is being extended beyond your practice.
YOU DON'T OWN A RECORDING STUDIO? WELL ACTUALLY, YOU DO...
You
see every computer can record your voice, you just need the
software and a microphone to do it. The microphone will cost you
about $20 from your local PC shop. The software is free for
download and is super easy to use.
But, I guess you're wondering how to learn about recording?
Simple, we show you with a selection of on-line training videos,
plus phone call support if you need it. I know you think it
sounds hard, but we have clients who could barely use a
computer, who now create their own recordings.
WHAT ABOUT A CD COVER?
Again it's all covered (pardon the pun). A huge library of cover
photos for you, plus on-line cover/label making software and
videos to show you how. You can produce a CD for about a $1.20,
then sell it for $15.00. Or, at a $1.20, giving it away to
clients will be some of the cheapest and most effective
marketing you've ever done!
CAN I SELL THE STUFF I MAKE FROM MY WEBSITE?
Yes. But we've gone one better and offer a service (TCS Digital
Mall) that gives you a page with all your titles, plus the
entire Chill Sessions library where your clients can buy and
download in one easy step. It's like having your own iTunes
store.
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
$49
per month, or $99 per month including the TCS Digital Mall
option. And don't forget you could make that back with
just a few CD or iPod audio sales each month.
SUPPORT?
We
pride ourselves on it. If you can't use The Chill Sessions, it's
no good for you or us. We will give you personal training to get
you up to speed.
WHAT HAVE OTHER'S DONE?
Some members have made collections of CD's that they sell from
their office and on their web sites. Others have made CD's to
give out at events as promotional items. Some have made CD's a a
'business card'. Some transfer files from the office PC to
clients iPods. Some have made videos that they have put on
YouTube and their own web site. One has just made a radio
commercial. We have more ideas on the website.
IS THE CONTENT TOP QUALITY?
We
believe so, but check it out for yourself. Using the menu to the
left, you are free to have a look at the website. On the music,
spoken word and video pages, you will find little 'audio/video
players'. Just click the play button to listen or watch. Every
fortnight, we add new content, so you have a a continually
updated library to use.
